Allison Godwin
Allison Godwin is an Assistant Professor of Engineering Education at Purdue University. Her research identifies factors that influence diverse students to choose and remain in engineering and how different experiences within engineering foster or hinder identity development. Her NSF CAREER Award focuses on characterizing latent diversity, which includes diverse attitudes, mindsets, and approaches to learning, to understand engineering students’ identity development. She is the recipient of a 2014 ASEE Educational Research and Methods Division Apprentice Faculty Grant and the NARST 2015 Outstanding Doctoral Research Award. She teaches in the First-Year Engineering Program and engineering education graduate courses in research methods.
