Edgar Goluch
Ed is an Associate Professor in Chemical Engineering at Northeastern University. He received his BS in Chemical Engineering, MS in Mechanical Engineering, and PhD in Bioengineering all from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Prior to joining Northeastern, Ed was a NSF Postdoctoral Fellow at Delft University in the Netherlands. Ed has published over 50 peer-reviewed journal articles and conference proceedings in the areas of microfluidics, sensors, and biophysics. His research is currently focused on developing micro/nano-fluidic devices and sensor technology for studying bacterial cells and biofilms. Ed founded QSM Diagnostics in 2015 to commercialize his group’s bacterial identification technology.
