Biography
Andrew Myers is an Assistant Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Northeastern and a registered professional engineer in California. Prior to joining Northeastern, he worked for two years at AIR Worldwide in San Francisco, where he worked on natural catastrophe risk assessments. He received his M.S. (2006) and Ph.D. (2009) at Stanford and his B.S. (2004) from Johns Hopkins; all degrees are in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering. His research interests include large-scale testing of steel structures, risk quantification, wind energy, and probabilistic modeling. He was awarded the 2016 CAREER award from the National Science Foundation.
