Biography
Eric Torng received his Ph.D. degree in computer science from Stanford University in 1994. He is currently an associate professor and graduate director in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Michigan State University. His research interests include algorithms, scheduling, and networking. He has received numerous research and teaching awards including an NSF CAREER award, a Michigan State University Teacher-Scholar award, three Michigan State University College of Engineering Withrow Teaching Excellence awards, and a Michigan State University Lilly Teaching Fellowship.
