Bonnie Ferri
Bonnie H. Ferri is a professor and the Associate Chair for Undergraduate Affairs in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech. She has been doing research in engineering education for several years, particularly in the area of hands-on learning in lecture-based courses. She is the recipient of numerous teaching awards, including the IEEE Harriet B. Regis Award from the IEEE Education Society and a National Instruments Excellence in Engineering Education Award. She has developed two Massive Open Online Courses that she uses to blend/flip a Circuits and Electronics course that has an enrollment of 450 on-campus students and over 10,000 public MOOC students per semester. At Georgia Tech, she works to extend active learning techniques to other instructors in her department and across campus. She has organized several education sessions at conferences and co-organized two NSF workshops on hands-on learning.
