Biography
Eric Masanet is the Morris E. Fine Junior Professor in Materials and Manufacturing at Northwestern University, where his research focuses on developing robust decision support models to accelerate the development and deployment of clean manufacturing technologies. He teaches courses at NU in sustainability principles, life-cycle assessment, and sustainable manufacturing methods. He is also Editor in Chief of Resources, Conservation, and Recycling, the leading peer-reviewed journal on resource systems sustainability. He received his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, with a specialization in environmentally-conscious manufacturing systems.
