How do you handle homework variants - student to student - semester to semester? Students only learn when they work THROUGH a problem, not copy. What are good models for testing? - we have to give a grade that is individualized. Do we need to also think about changing the way we assess?

    Great question
And Brian is showing one possible option right now, with essentially randomly-generated problems for each student. This is a whole lot of work to develop such software, but it does seem to be promising in terms of individualizing problems and requiring students to achieve mastery themselves (rather than as part of a study group).
