Keisha Walters
Biography
Dr. Walters received her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University. She joined the ChE department at Mississippi State University (MSU) in 2005, where she is currently an Associate Professor. Her research covers a broad range of topics in polymer-based material science and engineering and transport modeling. She has published over 55 refereed technical manuscripts and participated in numerous national and international conferences. Her work has been sponsored by government agencies including NSF, DOE, and DOD, and by industry partners. She has received a number of awards, including the 2012 Fahien Award from the America Society of Engineering Educators (ASEE). In 2010, she was inducted into MSU's engineering college Academy of Distinguished Teachers. She is a member of the SPE's Bioplastics Special Interest Group's Board of Directors and serves as Secretary in the ASEE Women in Engineering Division.
