The Cornell University College of Engineering invites applications for the Nancy and Bob Selander Associate Director of the Engineering Leadership Program. This is an academic appointment at the level of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer. The Associate Director will contribute to engineering students’ teamwork and leadership skills, personal development, and professional readiness through innovative experiential programming. He or she will be expected to teach or co-teach existing classes within the Engineering Leadership Certification Program, and will be responsible for the design and execution of other curricular and co-curricular initiatives. This position will work closely with the program Director, faculty, students, and alumni to identify opportunities for integrating leadership content into the Cornell University engineering curriculum and ensuring the relevance and rigor of our offerings.

We seek candidates with advanced degrees in Engineering, Science, Education, Social Science or related field (PhD preferred, but a Masters or professional degree is acceptable for candidates with unusual professional backgrounds and experience) with 3-5 years related experience in higher education administration or equivalent. The successful candidate will have experience delivering or participating in the development, delivery, and/or implementation of leadership programs, as well as demonstrated excellence in teaching. We seek proven ability to interact productively with all levels of staff, faculty, students, alumni, and corporate and foundation stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to work well collaboratively and independently is critical. Supervisory experience helpful.
